Research in Public Relations is the corporate and brand communications advisory unit of Mark Weiner Consulting, LLC, based in Black Rock, Connecticut. Research in Public Relations works with corporate and organizational public relations departments, public relations agencies and public relations service providers to uncover and enhance their return-on-PR-investment. Using a variety of proven, proprietary research approaches, Research in Public Relations helps its clients to understand their business environment; set objectives which are reasonable, measurable and meaningful; develop strategies; and evaluate for continual improvement.

Unlike many public relations research providers, Research in Public Relations focuses on research-based consultation and the business applications of research rather than the mechanics of data collection. And since the firm outsources data-collection, it has no vested interests in any particular supplier other than matching the best service provider to the client need. As such, Research in Public Relations can work with your current research providers, help you identify the best supplier or handle it for you.

Mark Weiner is CEO of Research in Public Relations and Mark Weiner Consulting, LLC. Before establishing his latest venture, Mark was Ketchum’s SVP/Global Director of Research where he was responsible for managing the agency’s worldwide research practice. For 13 years preceding Ketchum, Mark was the CEO of Delahaye, one of the world’s most prestigious PR research firms. He has worked with 60 of the Fortune 100 companies and has accepted awards for best use of research from PR Week, PRSA, CIPRA and SABRE. In 2005, PR News named Mark one of its “PR Research People of the Year.” His book “Unleashing the Power of PR: A Contrarian’s Guide to Marketing and Communication” was published by John Wiley in 2006 and continues to be among the top-selling books devoted to the practice of public relations.
